"This place was so fun"

Came here with my co-workers and we made serving trays! The tutorial was spot on, and there was so much freedom to go at your own pace. You really create something spectacular from one single slab of wood. You can listen to music and bring your own snacks and drinks into the venue too. It was a unique and memorable experience. I would do it again for sure.

"We came to DIY Joint to celebrate my husband’s birthday."

Our group of 15 had an amazing time! We got a little taste of real woodworking. We got to use a variety of power tools to put together our wine racks. At the end everyone left feeling very satisfied and happy with something they had created. The space is very nice and open. The instructor was great at introducing each of the stations we would be rotating through and she floated around to make sure all of us were safe and knew what we were doing. Preparation for the birthday party was seamless. The instructor is very easy to work with. My husband picked a wine rack design from a Pinterest board, and the instructor designed the project for us! Highly recommend for your special event!

"Can’t wait to start the next project :)"

The DIY Joint is perfect for any crafty person looking to create an awesome, new project. I never realized how satisfying it could be to actually build something for yourself! You also never realize how much work goes into building a table until you’re actually making one! I’m a total beginner with tools and wood in general, so at the start of the class I was not exactly “one” with the giant table saw. But as each class went on and the more the owner & instructor worked with me, the more comfortable I got and the more fun it became. Everyone can enjoy the pride that comes from building something of your own and telling people “I made that!”. Have to check this spot out. Fun, rewarding and overall an awesome experience. Can’t wait to start the next project 🙂

"Loved learning about different woods"

Glad to have found this place for such a rewarding and creative experience! I love the cutting board I created from my 3-week course. Loved learning about different woods, how to use the different equipment and tools, and the time carefully sanding and finishing my project.

"I would *highly* recommend this class."

The furniture building class was one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling things I did this year. Not only did I learn a ton about the the furniture making process, including the materials, tools, and processes involved, but I also met several interesting people from all over the NY/NJ area. Priscilla is an energetic and bright instructor and was able to fill all of our brains with knowledge and experience regardless of our technical ability going into the course. I would *highly* recommend this class to people of all creative/skill levels, and I look forward to taking more classes at The DIY Joint in the coming months!

"Fantastic experience!"

Fantastic experience! Working in an office job for 15+ years has gotten my soul pretty far from the fulfillment of building something real and practical. It felt great to get your hands dirty w sawdust and glue and to operate big, heavy machinery. I’ll be back for many more classes.

"The shop safety class was a really beneficial introduction"

Great, clean layout with all the tools that you’d need (but don’t want to buy) for an awesome DIY project. The shop safety class was a really beneficial introduction and I can’t wait to start cracking away on some home improvements!
