How It Works
Open Studio is now available!
To become a member, participants must complete two qualifying classes and demonstrate the skills and experience evidencing the safe use of tools and equipment. Qualifying classes are
1. Introduction to Furniture Making
2. Open Studio Access
Completing the 2 qualifying classes does not guarantee membership and open studio access. The instructor reserves the right to deny membership if the participant does not show the skills and experience in the safe use of the tools and equipment.
The DIY Joint reserves the right to remove membership and open studio access at any time. The DIY Joint also reserves the right to remove the participant's membership status at any time.
Open Studio Rates
RATES & RESERVATIONS
Hourly packages give you the flexibility to access open studio during available days and times indicated on our schedule. The more hours you buy, the more you save. Please refer to our policies section at the bottom of this page prior to purchasing or booking studio time.

Storage
Storage rates begin at TBC per day and TBC per month.
PURCHASING
You must be logged into your MINDBODY account to purchase or schedule open studio time. Only members who have successfully completed a qualifying workshops will be able to view or purchase hourly packages on their MINDBODY account. Packages activate on the sale date and are not eligible for expiration extensions.
BOOKING
Open studio availability is subject to change without notice. Studio time may be booked online up to 1 hour in advance of your desired start time. For bookings less than 1 hour in advance, please email info@thediyjoint.com to confirm availability. Studio time may only be scheduled in 2 hours increments, up to 4 consecutive hours in one day. Drop-in's are not permitted.
INCLUSIONS
All tools & equipment found within the studio are available to members. Materials such as glue, sandpaper, finishes, gloves, and nails or screws are not included.
ATTIRE
Open toe shoes, dangling clothing, jewelry, and loose hair are not permitted while working in the studio.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
Safety goggles and hearing protection are provided, but we encourage regular members to bring their own PPE. Dust masks are provided to students during classes only, open studio members should purchase a reusable face mask that filters out fine dust particles. PPE is required at all times while working with tools and equipment that generate dust and debris.
NEW CLIENTS
By purchasing and/or reserving studio time, you agree to abide by BBK Creations, LLC's dba The DIY Joint's Code of Conduct and consent to BBK Creations, LLC's dba The DIY Joint Waiver of Liability. These forms are provided at the start of your first visit, please arrive 15 minutes early to review and sign both forms.
CANCELLATIONS/ REFUNDS
Hourly packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. Hours for cancellations received at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled start time will be credited to your MINDBODY account. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in a loss equal to the total number of hours initially scheduled.
